Fortnite Season 7 Trailer

I animated several shots for the Fortnite Season 7 trailer at Screen Novelties. The goal with this project was to use old school stop-motion animation styles as seen in holiday classics like Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer but with a modern sense of design and movement. Clients often ask for "Rankin Bass" style animation for holiday specials, but the truth is that the old style is very rough and clunky because of the limited technology of the time. If we copied the style too closely, it would look accidental and poorly executed. For this project, we imitated the charming acting and magical physics, but also kept it smooth and clean.
