Magical Cat: Episode 2

This is the second episode of a short series that my wife an I have been creating. This series is part of a larger project called Animation Wild Card, which is a group of quarantined animators creating batches of shorts and releasing them in mixtape style episodes.

Magical Cat is just a wad of purple clay with hard eyes and a nose. The set is painted wood.

I designed and sculpted the character, and my wife built and painted the set and props.

I sketched my shapes before animating. I ALWAYS plan my shots before I start. Some frames take 45 minutes to sculpt, and I'd hate to make a mistake or second guess myself and waste that time.
